Activity Leaders in Thanet (Broadstairs, Margate & Ramsgate)
The Isle of Thanet (Broadstairs, Margate & Ramsgate) is Cicero's main centre for young learners aged between 13 and 18.
Courses here are seasonal. The main dates for 2010 are:
- Summer: 04.07.2010 to 05.09.2010
Cicero offers a full programme of activities on all its courses for young learners, with day trips to London and other places of interest, a variety of sporting activities, drama workshops, discos, beach parties and more. The programmes are planned and booked in advance.
Duties
Activities leaders are responsible for ensuring that the programme runs smoothly. This includes accompanying the students on the activities and providing them with essential information.
The role also includes accompanying students to and from London Heathrow Airport, helping them to check-in and meeting new arrivals.

Requirements
An interest in working with young people, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to deal with any problems which may arise.

- We will ask in reference requests whether there is any reason that you should not be employed in situations where you have responsibility for students under 16 (if that is the case)
- CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) disclosure may be required before appointment
Remuneration
Cicero offers very competitive rates of remuneration. The final details will depend on the hours and roles agreed, but the hourly rate of pay is £7.90 for staff in their first year with us. There will be a contract with holiday and sick pay.
