Social Activities

Staff and students get together for a variety of fun and interesting activities. There are often two social activities a week in summer and usually one per week the rest of the year. Here are some examples of the kind of activities we offer during the year:

Ten-pin bowling (£5 including transport and two games)

Visits to local pubs (cost is for drinks and any food)

Visits to local restaurants (Approximately £15, for main course & drink)

Quiz evenings in the school (free)

Film afternoons or evenings, including snacks (free)

Barbecue (£5)

Excursions

You can also book a wide range of trips to places of interest. These depart from Central London (either London Bridge or Baker Street). There are frequent train services from Tunbridge Wells to London (train fare to London not included in the following prices). Oxford & Stratford £35: including a guided tour of Oxford, entrance to St. Mary's Church Tower for a view over the "City of Dreaming Spires", a guided tour of Stratford, admission to Anne Hathaway's cottage.

Stonehenge & Bath £39: including admission to Stonehenge and an audio tour plus admission to the world famous Roman Baths in Bath.

Cotswolds £32: visit one of the most beautiful areas of England with a guide to show you impressive villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford.

Brighton £34: including a guided tour of Brighton and admission to the Royal Pavilion, the exotic palace of King George IV.

Windsor & Hampton Court £34: including admission to Hampton Palace, King Henry VIII's country retreat, and a guided tour of Windsor.

Isle of Wight £35: a tour with a guide of the some of the island's most popular places.

Cambridge £30: including a guided tour and admission to the Tower of Saint Mary the Great for a panoramic view of the city.

A day in Wales £35: a guide will take you to Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, then on to Caerphilly Castle, with its extensive water defences (entrance included) and some of the scenic Welsh Valleys.
