General information

How old should I be to go on a course?

Between 14 and 18 for our homestay courses in Margate, between 15 and 18 for our homestay courses in Banbury and between 11 and 15 for our residential courses in Tunbridge Wells.

Who are the students?

All our students are school children from all over the world who want to improve their English. The lessons will help you with your English at school. If you have already left school, you should ask for our brochure of courses for adults.

I don't speak any English yet: are the courses suitable for me?

No, you need to be able to speak at least a little English. The courses are not suitable for complete beginners.

How do I book?

Simply click on "Book a course" and fill out the form. We will then send you written confirmation of your booking. You should wait for our confirmation of your booking or check with us that there is a place free on the course of your choice before you book your flight.

What do we do when there aren’t any lessons?

We have put together a varied and interesting freetime programme with something to do on most afternoons and/or evenings. There is something for everyone - a mixture of sport and games, culture, sightseeing and of course, shopping.

You will find a list of what is included in the programme with the description of each course town.

Do I have to take part in all the activities?

No, of course not - but most people do because the activities are so interesting. We always spend a lot of time finding out what interests our students and what they like doing.

Is there anything else I should know?

Yes – on our homestay courses, for all the evening activities, we organise a bus that will drop you off near your host family or we pay for a taxi to take you to your house.

What activities do I have to pay for myself?

None - they are all included in the course price.

What, you even pay for the London Eye, etc.?!

Yes, we do.

Hmm! There must be a “hidden extra” somewhere - there always is!

No, with us there isn’t!
